The International Handball Federation (IHF) has officially assigned to Algeria the organization of the 21st World Championship U-21 (junior boys) in 2017, the Algerian Handball Federation (FAHB) said Monday.
In a letter signed by Patrick Strub and Amel Khalifa, respectively Competition Director and Executive Director to the IHF, the IHF Council at its last meeting, confirmed the assignment of the competition to Algeria, FAHB added.
Besides, the Organising Committee and IHF decided to send a delegation for an inspection visit to Algeria that will take place prior to the next meeting of the Council of the IHF in Qatar, on the sidelines of the 24th edition of the World Cup (men) in January 2015.
