The Organising Committee of the contests launched by His Majesty's Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa is still receiving applications from participants from all over the Kingdom.
Under Shaikh Nasser’s directives, a competition for the best decorated cars and houses, and an Instagram contest were held on the Kingdom’s celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne.
Participants will win cash prizes totaling about BD25,000.
Owners of decorated cars have to be present along with vehicles at Bahrain National Stadium parking on December 16 from 11am to 2pm. The contest will be in three categories, according to their cars.
First three winners of the three categories of the Best-Decorated Car contest will be awarded BD2,000, BD1,000, and BD500 respectively.
Regarding the Best-Decorated House contest, each Governorate will have one winner who will receive BD3,000.
The top four winners of the Instagram contest will be presented with BD500, BD400, BD300, BD200 and BD100 respectively.
The jury of the competitions is expected to announce the winners next week.
