Taha bin Sulaiman Al Kishry was re-elected chairman of the Oman Swimming Association (OSA) yesterday as the elections for the 2012-16 term were conducted during the General Body Meeting at the Oman Olympic Committee headquarters. Ministry of Sports Affairs supervised the polls with 20 out of 21 affiliate clubs in attendance. Absent was was Al Hamra Club.Taha Al Kishry nominated by Ahli-Sidab Club won with an overwhelming majority with fifteen in favour and five against, which went in favour of his challenger Sami Abdulaziz Al Bahrani. Bahla Club nominee Usama Al Barwani clinched the vice-chairman's post while Qais Al Zakwani also of Bahla retained his general secretary post. The treasurer was Al Nasr Club's Abdulhakim Al Shanfari. The elected board members are Turki bin Abdullah Al Salhi (Sohar), Abdulmunim bin Khamis Al Alawi (Al Talee'a), Rashid Al Hashmi (Bashayir), Said bin Abdullah Al Balushi (Musannah) and Salim bin Khamis Al Alawi (Al Kamil Wa Al'wafi).
