Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has completed all arrangements to organise its annual Futsal championship at Al Wakrah Sports Club on Sunday. The two week-long tournament will bring together 16 teams distributed into four groups, A includes, Al Andalus, Supreme Council of Health, 4 A team and Qatar Stars Corporation, group B, Qatar Petroleum (QP) , Qatar Youth Hostels, Community College, Qatar Museum Authority (QMA), group C, international vision, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar Building Company and Al Dakhira Youth Center, while group D includes, Al Baghah company, Kafood Company, Wirelink company and Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning. In Sunday’s opening round, three matches are scheduled, Al Andalus will shake hands with Qatar Stars Corporation (QSC), Supreme Council of Health (SCH) will face 4 A team in the second playoff and QP will lock horns against QMA in the third match. In a pre-event press release, Mr. Khaleel Ibraheem Al Jaber, the Director of Sport Affairs Department at QOC reaffirmed that the main objective behind the tournament is to boost the community individuals awareness about the significant role of sport for human health mentally and physically.
