Youth and Sports Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz stressed on Tuesday his full respect for FIFA and its letter warning to freeze the football activities in case of a court ruling to dissolve the Egyptian Football Association was not implemented.
"I fully respect and appreciate all international institutions topped by the FIFA, and we will not take any decision that violates the international Olympic conventions," the minister said in statements.
Abdel Aziz added that the government has not received a copy of the FIFA letter and is keen on respecting all Olympic conventions in line with the constitution.
"We wait for a court ruling regarding a challenge filed by the current association chairman against the dissolution," he said.
