This past weekend, Bahrain Noor El Ain held its hugely successful Souk Explorer Challenge at the iconic Manama Souk district behind Bab Al Bahrain.
The challenge event saw thousands of attendees and market visitors flock to the Manama Souk to see the race and participate in the variety of activities at the Bab Al Bahrain Mall.
Taking place this last Friday and Saturday, the Souk Explorer Challenge saw the participation of 60 teams with 3 members each as they raced through the Manama Souk in 45 minute rounds to acquire Scavenger Hunt souk items. The races were broadcast live via GoPro cameras and displayed to spectators on the Mega Screen at the start/finish line. The Challenge saw the first time use of GoPro live broadcast in Bahrain.
Following the 35 team race rounds on Saturday, the prize presentation commenced at 9.30pm with the top 3 teams awarded their winnings. In first place, Team MMK won the grand prize of 3 Yamaha scooters. In second place, Team Bombkala won 3 GoPro Cameras courtesy of Batelco and in third place Team Nutcrackers were each awarded LG Tablets courtesy of Batelco as well. Prizes were also given to 12 other teams including prizes for best bargainer and best race time.
