His Majesty the King's Personal representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has paid a visit to the Crossing Nature Camp.
The three-day camp, organised by the Shaikh Nasser Foundation, has attracted over 110 participants from various Arab countries.
Shaikh Nasser met participants from Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Egypt and hosts Bahrain. He exchanged with them cordial talks on the camp's noble goals of increasing the overall fitness, changing lifestyles and gaining self-confidence through a number of training activities and programmes.
Shaikh Nasser was informed in details by coach Ali Aldehan about the teams' training, as well as the programme of the final day.
Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of bringing Arab youth together to cement friendship ties and exchange expertise in all fields.
He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on hosting pan-Arab joint programmes, particularly youth functions and activities, wishing all the participants every success.
He added that the participants' enthusiasm proves the success of the camp, and reflects their desire to increase their fitness and change their lifestyles.
It is to be noted that on the first day, the participants were involved in preliminary training under Kuwaiti coach Ali Aldehan and to identify their technical and physical abilities.
On the second day, activities involved walking, running, jogging, cycling and preparing meals for the other participants.
This camp is aimed at giving participants skills to help them prepare for their future lives and increase their overall fitness as well as psychological goals helping them gain self-confidence away from modern lifestyle in a harsher environment away from many modern amenities.
Areas included in the camp are Al Jazayer Beach, the Endurance Village and the Southern Coast.
