Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Vice-Chairman and Bahrain Athletics Association President Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, led the Bahrain Triathlon Team in training for the upcoming "Challenge Bahrain" international triathlon championship, to be held on Saturday, organised by Challenge Family and Nasser bin Hamad Foundation.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad led the team's cycling training session held in the Southern Governorate. He pointed out that the team's daily workouts were going on in excellent fashion.
Shaikh Nasser also lead the Bahraini squad in their swimming practices to ensure their complete physical and mental preparedness for the triathlon, where they hope to achieve outstanding results for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On his part, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad was optimistic of his team achieving distinct results in the race following their solid preparations alongside Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad.
Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad pointed out that the team is fully ready to reach their maximum capabilities, and stressed the importance of cohesion with all the members of their squad in order to achieve success.
The other members of the team continued their cycling training.
Team member Ahmed Busmait said he expects the Bahraini contingent to be at a very high level of readiness prior to the global race, which features many elite athletes and world champions.
Another team member, Imad Al Dosari, said that the daily workouts have been going on according to the plan set by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad. He added that the team is in pursuit of top results, and noted that all their members continue to strive hard in order to honour the Kingdom of Bahrain in this major international race.
