Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa pledged to exert more efforts to bring about more honourable sport achievements and turn Bahrain into a hub for triathlon sport in the Middle East.
He said there is an ambitious strategy to form Bahrain professional triathlon team to promote Bahrain in the upcoming championships.
He paid tribute to Bahrain’s leadership for their tremendous support, pointing out that the accomplishment made in Budapest championship was the dividend of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s incessant encouragement and follow-up.
He added that admission of new members to the team aims to broaden the basis of Bahraini participants and enable more youngsters to join the team.
He lauded the athletes’ determination to end the race despite injuries, praising the new achievement in completing all the stages.
On his part, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa commended the honourable achievement, paying tribute to the Bahraini team led by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their remarkable performance in Budapest Ironman Championship.
