Under the auspices of His Highness Colonel Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the commander of the Royal Guard, a ceremony was hosted marking the conclusion of the Royal Guard's sports activities for the holy month of Ramadan in which His Highness Lieutenant Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the commander of the Rapid Intervention Force, participated. During conclusive ceremony a marathon race was conducted in which His Highness Lieutenant Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa achieved a record time of 6.31.77 minutes thus attaining the top position followed by Lieutenant Ahmed Nasser Al-Bu-Smaitt who achieved a record time of 6.46.9 minutes thus attaining the second position meanwhile Lieutenant Faisal Ali Al-Mansour came third with a record time of 6.56.31 minutes amongst a large number of contenders. In the soccer competition, the tenth Royal security and protection battalion won the title of the championship after beating the eleventh Royal logistics battalion 2-1. In the tug-of-war competition, the tenth Royal security and protection battalion won the title of the championship after beating the Royal Guard second battalion. Towards the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness Colonel Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented the prime title cup to the top runner His Highness Lieutenant Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and also honored the winners in the various sports competitions. His Highness Colonel Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his delight for attending the conclusion of the Royal Guard's sports activities for the holy month of Ramadan this year, praising organizational procedures accompanying the sports events which added an atmosphere of honest competition between all contenders in the Royal Guard and wished continuity of these activities in view of their positive impact on all Royal Guard personnel. On the other hand, the Operations and Training Section chief in the Royal Guard made a speech marking the occasion in which he praised His Highness Colonel Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his kind patronage of the conclusive events of Ramadan sports competitions and expressed his delight for the massive participation in the various sports activities throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
