Hosts Qatar girls basketball team confidently managed on the second place overall at the Inaugural GCC Girls Basketball Championship , following their deserving 58-31 victory over Kuwait in a crucial match held at the Aspire Zone on Saturday. Saturday’s win braced Qatar team to take the second place overall behind the winners Bahrain who won the title of the event, Oman came in the third place ahead of Kuwaitis who finished fourth and United Arab Emirates in the fifth place. Qatar girls team showed a wide-praised performance along the championship, displaying high skills in the game. The championship which is jointly organized by the Qatar Women Sport Committee (QWSC) and the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) brought together five GCC nations, including hosts, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and UAE.
