Qatar's men's beach handball is all set to participate in the 2013 Beach Handball Tournament at the International World Games Association (IWGA) World Games to be staged from August 1 to 4 in Colombia's sports capital Santiago de Cali city. The Games are being held for the first time in South America. The opening ceremony of the Games was held on July 25, the day the City of Cali celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation. Qatar beach handball squad is figures in Group 'B' along with Ukraine, Croatia, Venezuela. Group 'A' includes Brazil, Russia, hosts Colombia and Australia. Qatar will play its opening game against Ukraine starting 10.25 am Cali time while Croatia will play Venezuela on August 1 at the Canaveralejo – Bull Fighting Ring. The team is on an international training camp ahead of competing in the IWGA World Games, according to Qatar Handball Association schedule. Cali is staging the multi-sport games together with two other cities in the Cauca Valley. The organizers are preparing to seize the moment to promote the full breadth of sports to the world, and to bring about significant change to the nation, region and cities.
