Assistant of the President of the Republic, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Ghandour, has affirmed the Presidency of the Republic concerning with the youths and sports.
This came in his addressing Saturday evening to the sporting festival that was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Khartoum State at Omdurman Youth Center to mark the handing over of the sports equipments to the sports unions and clubs in the state.
Prof. Ghandour appreciated the big gathering of sportsmen who represented all kinds of sports, urging the youths to exert more efforts for the return of sport in Sudan to its normal position, saying that exercising sports is not a waste of time as many people think.
The ceremony was also addressed by the Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Khidir, who expressed his thanks to all those who have exerted efforts for holding this event, assuring the state's concern with the enhancement of sports.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Khartoum State declared the start of the program of his ministry, starting from this sports event in Khartoum State. He announced the determination of the state to opening a number of sports facilities in the coming period at Al-Ailafoun, Al-Sahafa and Omdurman and Karari and other area in Khartoum State.
