Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, yesterday visited FAI World Air Games 2015 at Skydive Dubai, at Al Sufouh Area.
Sheikh Mohammed attended part of the 6th day of the tournament being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
The event, the biggest in the history of air games, will continue till December 12th in Dubai with the participation of more than 1,200 athletes from 56 countries.
Sheikh Mohammed witnessed the competitions that brought together a number of elite pilots. He also met with Dr. John Grubbstrom, President of the World Air Sports Federation, who extended thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed for his support to the air games, as well as the hospitality that he and other participants received during the tournament.
Sheikh Mohammed, in the presence of Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, was briefed by Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the tournament, and Nasr Al Neyadi, Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Air Sports and Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee, on the programmes of the event.
