The General Organization for Youth and Sports (GOYS) organizes a UN Session Model Conference for the second consecutive year scheduled to be convened on 24-25 November 2011. GOYS President Hisham Al-Jowder said that the “conference represents a micro model simulation of actual UN sessions. The conference provides opportunity to participating university students who come from inside the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad to partake in serious dialogue and negotiate the challenges facing the world for instance issues of international peace, security economic, social development and human rights . He said that the goal of the conference is to consecrate the concept of constructive dialogue for today in order to take us to the solution tomorrow , imparting various skills on participants such as public oration, team work and negotiations skills. The participants shall also gain information related to international issues and shall be provided an opportunity to experience totally different countries in terms of values, culture and ethnic origins. The sessions shall focus on four major themes. Speeches are expected to be delivered by various guest speakers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UN Office in Bahrain etc.
