Kuwaiti weightlifters have won several medals by the end of the first day of the
Arab and Asian weightlifting championships held in Jordan, with participation from Qadsiya and Nasser sporting
clubs. Qadsiya Club won the gold medal for the juniors 69 kg at the Arab championship, while Hassan AlQattan won
the bronze, head of Qadiya club delegation Mohammed Ghuloom told KUNA. Weightlifter Mohammed AlMullah won the snatch and total bronze medal for the juniors 56 kg at the Arab
championship, while Nawaf AlAnazi won the snatch bronze for the juniors 62 kg category, Ghuloom added.

championship and the silver medal for the same category at the Asian championship for the juniors 62 kg.
For his part head of Nasser club delegation participating in the championship Hamad AlSharidah told KUNA,
that weightlifter Abdullah AlHatem won three bronze medals in the Arab Championship and the fourth place in
the Asian by the end of the first day of competition of the tournament.
The tournaments are held in Jordan until April 30, with participation from, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE,
Bahrain, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Thailand, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and China.
