The Kuwaiti drift champions, Nasser Al-Mutairi, Fahad Al-Jadee and Ali Maqseed, are all prepared to take part in the finals of the Red Bull drifting race in Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, in charge of the rings committee at Basel Al-Salem Al-Sabah Motor Racing Club, told KUNA on Thursday the UAE-hosted championship, due to begin later today, would involve up to 16 racers from Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Tunisia.
Al-Mutairi and Al-Jadee were chosen for the came first and second in the Kuwait-hosted race.
Red Bull company has addressed a special invitation to the veteran drifter, Al-Maqseed, to take part in the final round, considering his distinctive riding skills and his car's special features and modifications.
