Kuwaiti volleyball team defeated Slovenia's Maribor volleyball team 2-0 in a friendly match late Wednesday, as part of the team's preparation camp for the upcoming Arab tournament to be held in Kuwait from November 25 to December 6.
The players, who won with 25-20 in the first half and 25-23 in the second, gave a promising performance against a tough team, Head of the team Mohammad Al-Buloshi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday.
The team is currently working hard on raising the level of their fitness for the tournament, he said, adding that the players are training twice daily (morning and night) to avoid injuries.
