A makeshift and inexperienced Kuwaiti side lost their second consecutive clash to hosts Bahrain in the GCC Women's Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.
The side which have lost several key members to injury, and are taking part in their first international event came close to a comeback, after taking the third set, 25-23.
However, the home side managed to win an additional fourth set, thus maintaining a second consecutive victory after a straight sets defeat of Qatar.
The Kuwaitis had crashed in their earlier encounter a day earlier to United Arab Emirates, in an unlucky opening fixture against the reigning two-time defending champions.
The unofficial women's sports event includes all Gulf states but Saudi Arabia.
