The Kuwait Football Association has reportedly stepped up its interest in making Hassan Shehata their national team manager after being informed that he hadn’t signed a contract with his current club, Zamalek. The former Egypt manager has threatened to leave Zamalek if management fails to solve the players’ ongoing salary problems. “I had an agreement with the club's board to strengthen the current squad with new players and solve the current problems to restore stability before signing a contract. The club’s real problem is a financial one,” Shehata said in an interview with CNN in August. The Whites’ players have threatened to lodge a complaint against the club’s management with the Egyptian FA regarding the delay in receiving their salaries.
