HSBC Bank has clinched the Nasser Charity Championship for the fourth time in a row, routing BMI Bank 6-0 in the final which was held at Khalifa Sport City in Isa Town. Muharraq finished third in the championship after beating Central Governorate Youth Centre team 3-1.
HSBC player Bashar Abd Ahmed won the best goalkeeper award in the tournament, while his team- mate Salem Hussain Ahmed clinched the best player award in tandem with Faisal Yusuf Najm. The top scorer award went to striker Faisal Al-A'ali from HSBC team, while BMI Bank official Yunis Taki won the best administrator award.
Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) board of trustees' Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will honour the sponsors of the championship which was held under his patronage. The top three teams and the best players will also be honoured on the sidelines of a Ramadan Iftar, set to be held for RCO staff and affiliates.
