H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Honorary President of the UAE Football Association has attributed the coronation of Al Ain Football Club as the 2014–15 Arabian Gulf League champions after their final league match, to the collective efforts made by the players, teamwork, administrative and technical staff as well as the support extended by the club's fans.
"This well-deserved achievement made by a club that we are always proud of comes in the context of the overall progress of all sports, football in particular, in the UAE where the insightful vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, practically reflect the huge support provided for sports as well as the continuous pursuit of advancing this sector which is important for achieving youth development and stronger regional and global presence," H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed said.
H.H. Sheikh Hazza added, "As we congratulate all the winners and participants in this championship, we should not forget that the crowning moment has been the fruit of integrated efforts made by Al Ain FC's players, coach and technical staff along with the support extended by the club's fans. This proves that sports achievements are not made by chance. Rather they are the natural result of teamwork at all level. This is the spirit that we seek to encourage, promote and nurture along with the enhancement of technical and administrative aspects because this is the only way to provide sports and non-sports talents and skills with a healthy environment that empowers them to make further progress towards fulfilling ambitions and guarantees further excellence and success as well as the ability to overcome all hurdles and challenges."
H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed thanked the UAE Football Association, the UAE Pro League Committee, Al Ain FC Club, the media and organisers of the Arabian Gulf League which he hailed as one of the important football events in this region that contributes towards the development of Gulf football and reflects positively on the UAE's participation in international competitions.
