The Public Authority for Youth and Sports organizes at Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village, on Monday, the popular games for GCC youth, as part of the Fifth Heritage Festival that got underway on January 9th.
Khalifa Al-Tarawreh, in charge of youth departments at the authority, told KUNA on Sunday that GCC delegations have already started arriving in the country to take part in the scheduled sports contests.
Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday, covering children contests at the festival headquarters, the heritage village. Official shows will be held upon official inauguration of the games on Wednesday.
Final shows will be held on Friday and Kuwait Television will broadcast the activities live.
Steering committee will organize visits for the coming delegations to national landmarks, namely Bait Othman and Al-Ahmar Palace.
Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the authority board chairman, is personally supportive of the event.
