The Organizing Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Olympic teams' championship has adjourned the semi-finals to Monday to allow Gulf TV stations to broadcast the matches after the end of the three-day mourning declared over the demise of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz early Friday.
"As the Gulf TV channels are still in a period of mourning, the committee decided to postpone the semi-final matches to Monday," the Committee said in a press release Sunday.
It added that the tournament will conclude, and the final will be held on Wednesday.
The Kuwaiti team will meet the Omani counterpart in the first match and the Saudi team will meet the UAE counterpart in the second match.
