Saqr Nasser Al Raisi, the UAE Ambassador to Italy, has praised the support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses the Rulers of Emirates, to the sports.
While addressing the media delegation, he said the UAE leaders are interested in sports given its significant role in bringing people closer. He cited the directives of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to support sportspersons and sports.
He thanked H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, for his directives to hold the Fazza Shooting Championship in Italy.
The UAE ambassador referred to the historic relations between the UAE and Italy, and added that the trade exchange between the UAE and Italy stood at US$9.5 billion. There are 12,000 Italians residing in the UAE. He also underlined the success of the UAE at Expo Milan 2015.
