Emirati riders will be taking part in the 17th session of the 2014 Asian Games, which launched yesterday in Incheon, Korea, with participants flocking from 45 countries competing for 36 sport titles.
The U.A.E. team is led for the third consecutive time by Olympian Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, for the jumping Masters. Other riders include Abdullah Al Marri, Mohammed Al Owais, and Muftah Al Dhaheri.
Sheikha Latifa currently holds the silver medal title for both the individual and team jumping events from the previous Asian Games that were held in China in 2010, and a bronze medal from the Doha games in 2006.
Meanwhile, Al-Marri made significant achievements in Doha in 2006, as part of the U.A.E. team who took home the bronze.
