The competition that will replace the cancelled 2011/2012 Egyptian Premier League season now has a start and end date according to the country’s FA.Egyptian Football Association (EFA) general secretary Anouar Salah has exclusively told Goal.com’s Egyptian edition that the Egyptian Cup competition that will replace the cancelled 2011/2012 Egyptian Premier league season will begin on April 19 and end on May 20.The decision was made during a meeting between Salah and Amer Hussein, the president of competitions committee.He also assured that the rules and regulations for the tournament will be the same as those for regular Confederation of African Football (Caf) affiliated competitions and that official letters will be sent to clubs wishing to participate.Meanwhile, a meeting is to take place between the EFA and the Egyptian Ministry of Interior to determine the special conditions and security regulations that will be put in effect for the matches.
