A select group of golfing guests of Emirates Global Aluminium, EGA, will enjoy one of the most memorable playing experiences of their lives when they compete in the traditional pre-event Omega Dubai Desert Classic, ODDC, Pro-Am at the Emirates Golf Club tomorrow.
As a curtain-raiser to the 2015 staging of the Middle East's oldest European Tour event, now in its 26th year, the ODDC Pro-Am will be played on the famous Emirates Golf Club's Majlis Course on the eve of the main event. A total of 21 EGA guests will play in 7 teams, each team featuring one European Tour professional and three amateurs.
For the professionals, the ODDC Pro-Am allows one final chance to familiarise themselves with the course before the tournament gets underway the following day, while for the amateurs it is often a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play alongside many of the finest golfers in the world.
Walid Al Attar, Chief Marketing Officer at EGA, said, "As the longest standing sponsor of the ODDC, the tournament presents a prime opportunity for these golf enthusiasts to mingle with the best. It also allows us to express our appreciation for the value added to our company by the excellence-based partnerships developed with these individuals and their companies over the years." EGA has been a key sponsor of the tournament for 24 consecutive years and played a major role in helping the ODDC grow from a small event staged in the Middle East to a world-class sporting occasion featuring many of the biggest names in world golf.
