Dutch cyclist Thomas Rabou from "Continental cycling team" (Singapore) won the International Criterium of Algiers ran on a Saturday in Algiers over a distance of 96 km in closed circuit and clinches the leader's yellow jersey of Grand Cycling Tour of Algeria. Thomas Rabou finished in 2h 14mn 36sec ahead of Moroccan Chaoufi Tarik (2h 14: 57) and his compatriot Abelouache Essaid (2h14: 57). International Criterium of Algiers is run in closed circuit of 96km between the People’s National Assembly and Zighoud-Youcef boulevard. The red jersey for the best sprinter returned to Eritrea’s Mekseb Bebesay, while Moroccan Abelouache Essaid got white jersey for best hope. Dutch Rabou Thomas has also won blue jersey of the most combative rider. The kickoff of the International Criterium of Algiers was given by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Tahmi in the presence of Minister of Communication, Abdelkader Messahel, Minister of Higher Education Mohamed Mebarki and Algiers Prefect Mohamed Zoukh.
