In line with the directives of First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of West Asia Athletics Federation and Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a BAA delegation left for Monaco to present Bahrain's bid to host the World Cross Country Championship 2017.
The delegation comprises BAA Vice President Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal, Secretary General Abdul Hakim Al Shenou and Director Yousef Abdul Qader. The championship is considered as one of the most important ones
on the schedule of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Uganda will also present its file after Bahrain to host the championship and the winner will be announced next January.
