The 10-member Arbitration Panel of the HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Best Camp Award began a series of field visits to assess 20 camps.
The Governor of the Southern Governorate and Chairman of the High Committee for Camping Season, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, had directed the arbitration panel to conduct a series of inspection tours in order to name the best camp eligible for the HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Award for Best Camp.
The panel of arbitrators include a representative from the Office of the Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs also Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)'s President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as well as representatives from the Camping Services Centre, Southern Area Municipality, the General Directorate of Traffic, Civil Defence, National Guard, Ministry of Health, one of the operating companies at Bahrain oilfield and the Executive Environmental Agency.
The Camping Service Centre's chairman Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sisi emphasized the objectives behind the award's launching aimed to ensure the success of the season and campers' safety which is the goal sought by all, and he urged everybody to comply with the standards set by the High Committee aimed to ensure maximum safety for all and to conserve wildlife.
He stressed the panel's honesty and transparency in choosing the winner of the award who will be honoured for compliance with the terms, conditions and criteria of the High Camping Committee. He expressed his appreciation of all participant campers in addition to cooperation with the arbitration panel, wishing for continuity of such cooperation in order to attain the goals of environmental conservation and the safety of all campers.
The High Organizing Committee decided BD 1000 in prize to the first position winner for each week and BD 500 to each of the second best 6 camps.
