Arab League (AL) Assistant Secretary General for Palestine Affairs Mohamed Sobaih said Monday that a FIFA fact-finding committee will be investigating Israeli grievances against Palestinians.
Sobaih said the agreement to form a FIFA fact-finding committee is a step on the right road.
He called for ending the racial Israeli atrocities against Palestinian athletes.
Ninety per cent of delegates at the annual congress of FIFA in Zurich approved the measure, which was proposed by the Palestinians after they withdrew a resolution calling for the expulsion of Israel from the international game.
The FIFA committee will look into the restrictions Israel puts on the movement of players and equipment into Palestinian territories, and Palestinian accusations of racism in Israeli football.
