GS Petroliers won their first victory at the Arab Basketball Champion Clubs Cup (men) by beating Saudi Arabia’s Ohod on a score of 86 to 62 (half-time: 51-26) in a game counting for the first day of pool 2, played Sunday in Sale (Morocco).
GS Petroliers, Algerian reigning champion, will face, during the next game day, scheduled Monday, the Alexandria Sporting Club (Egypt) at 5:00 pm, local time.
The Arab Basketball Champion Clubs Cup (men), taking place from October 26 to November 8 in Salé (Morocco), regroups 14 team divided in 3 pools.
The GSP plays in pool 2 alongside Saudi Arabia’s Ohod, Petrol of South (Iraq), Alexandria Sporting Club (Egypt) and Rades of Tunisia.
The two first teams of pools 1 and 2 as well as the two first of pool 3 will be qualified for the quarter finals.
