Algerian athlete Walid Bidani won Saturday a bronze medal at the 105kg class events of the World Junior Weightlifting Championship, taking place in the Russian city of Kazan, Algerian Weightlifting Association (FAH) has reported.
Bidani got the bronze medal after he succeeded in lifting 170kg.
The African championship title's holder ranked fourth at the clean-and-jerk (200kg) and a total of two movements (370kg).
The world title in 105-kg snatch went to Belarus Kurouski Rychard (177kg), who also won gold in total (378 kg) and a bronze at the clean-and-jerk (201kg).
The silver medal in snatch went to Ukrainian Kubyshkovskyi Leonid (173kg) and that of the clean-and-jerk event to Polish Samoraj Pawel (208kg).
