Tunisian Olfa Charni won a gold medal at women's air pistol event in the African Shooting Championship, held October 15-25 in Cairo. Her compatriot Noura Nasri won a silver medal at women's pistol event (25 metres). Tunisia, who already qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games, is represented in the African Championship in seven events, 5 women's and 2 men's. Nine countries are taking part in this African Championship qualifying for the London Olympics: Tunisia, Algeria, Angola, South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Sudan, Senegal and Egypt.
