Algerian rowers snatched three gold medals at the final of the African Rowing Championship on Friday at the dam of Boukerdane in Sidi Amar (Tipasa, 70-km west of Algiers).
Amina Rouba won the first gold medal in women's lightweight single skiff clocking 8min19sec 49s.
The second gold medal was claimed by Sid Ali Boudina in men's lightweight single skiff with 7min 12sec 30s, while the third gold was won by Nawel Chiali and Amina Rouba in women's double skiff with 7min 36sec 59s.
Seven finals have been scheduled for the second day of the African tournament, which is marked by 109 rowers (men and women) from 19 countries of the continent.
Algeria and Tunisia have dominated the evens on Friday with three African titles for each country.
