Two Kuwaiti officials were elected for top posts at the executive committee of Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU) during elections held in the Qatari capital, Doha, yesterday, said an official here Tuesday.
Kuwait gymnastics federation's treasurer Abdullah Al-Buloshi is now the AGU's West Asia federation's President while his compatriot Mohammad Abdulrasoul is now the member of the Asian Union's technical committee, said chairman of the Kuwaiti federation Saif Abu Adel.
Abu Adel, who also heads the Arab gymnastics federation, said that the Kuwaiti officials would work hard to prove themselves on the Asian level, noting that their elections for the post was evident of Kuwait's strong presence within the continental gymnastics scene.
