Marcelo Toscano grabbed a brace as midtable Guimaraes defeated nine-man Vitoria Setubal 3-0 in Monday's sole Portuguese Liga encounter. After an evenly-matched first-half, Toscano opened the scoring for the hosts after 53 minutes while a minute later Vitoria were a man down when Ney Santos was dismissed. Ricardo Silva then received his marching orders for the foul that led to Edgar doubling the lead from the penalty spot on 68 minutes. Toscano completed the scoring after 73 minutes as Guimaraes leapfrogged Vitoria into 10th place in the standings.
