The 46-year-old, who scored 18 goals in 84 international appearances for Belgium, replaces Dutchman Dennis Van Wijk, who was sacked earlier in the day. The first task for Scifo, who played for Anderlecht and Inter Milan, among other clubs, will be to end Mons's winless streak this year. However, despite their dismal run, are assured a place in the top-tier as they sit in 7th spot on 29 points.
