Herve Renard will take on a new challenge with Zambia after signing a new two-year deal to lead the team throughout their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign “This morning I signed a two-year contract extension with the aim of leading Zambia for the 2014 World Cup for the first time in their history,” the French tactician told France Football on Saturday. The 43-year-old steered the Chipolopolo to a historic victory over Ivory Coast (8-7 on penalties following a goalless draw) in the final of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations as they claimed their first ever title. He has recently been linked with struggling Cameroon, who missed the tournament, Morocco and some French Ligue1 sides. However, he confirmed that he wishes to continue his adventure with Zambia, especially that they have little time before next year's Africa Cup of Nations and the start of the World Cup qualifiers campaign.
