Gold Coast United claimed their first win of 2012 with a 3-0 victory over ten-man Perth Glory in the A-League today. The league's bottom club went in front through Zachary Anderson's sixth-minute header and the visitors' hopes suffered another blow when they lost Dean Heffernan to a red card in the 36th minute. Heffernan was dismissed for leading with his elbow in an aerial challenge with Daniel Bowles. And Gold Coast finished off the ten men late on thanks to a brace from substitute James Brown, who netted in the 83rd and 90th minutes.
