Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the main stakeholder of Paris Saint-Germain soccer club, said Friday to name Jean-Claude Blanc, former president of Italy's Juventus, to manage the French top league club. "We are very pleased to welcome Jean-Claude Blanc, a great professional ... whose expertise will help us to achieve the success target we have set," Nasser Al-Khelaifi, head of QSI said. "Jean-Claude Blanc will be in charge of all the club's activities except sports sector. He will work closely with Leonardo de Araujo, the club's sportive director," he added in a statement posted on the club's website. The 48-year-old businessman will be officially appointed on Oct. 21 at a general meeting of Paris Saint-Germain. Jean-Claude Blanc, a Harvard MBA graduate, was chairman of the Board of the Italian football club Juventus from 2009 to 2010. Paris Saint-Germain now heads France's top championship standings after scoring 20 points so far.
