Benfica stormed to a 5-1 win over Rio Ave in tonight's only game in the Liga ZON Sagres, moving them temporarily three points clear of Porto at the top of the table. The hosts actually trailed 1-0 after Christian Atsu's 24th-minute goal, but Oscar Cardozo levelled from the penalty spot before Nolito's first of two goals quickly put Benfica ahead. Javier Saviola made it 3-1 on the stroke of half-time and second-half goals from Ezequiel Garay and Nolito took them clear at the summit, at least until Porto's match with Maritimo tomorrow.
