Dinamo Moscow were held to a 1-1 draw by ten-man city rivals Spartak in the final round of the Russian Premier League regular season to leave CSKA Moscow assured of a second-place finish. Third-placed Dinamo, who started the game two points behind CSKA and two points ahead of fourth-placed Spartak, took the lead through Kevin Kuranyi but that advantage was cancelled out by an Aiden McGeady goal 12 minutes into the second half. Spartak were reduced to ten men in the 64th minute when Rafael Carioca was sent off, but Dinamo could not take advantage and they missed the chance to move above CSKA, who complete their campaign away to fifth-placed Lokomotiv Moscow tomorrow. Zenit St Petersburg, who play Kuban Krasnodar tomorrow, are already certain to finish in first place, while all top eight berths for the championship play-offs were decided prior to the final round of action, as were the eight teams consigned to play in the relegation play-offs Elsewhere today, Samuel Eto'o scored twice as Anzhi Makhachkala claimed a 3-1 comeback victory over ten-man Krylya Sovetov. All four goals and the sending off came in a frantic 12-minute spell just after half-time. Roman Vorobyev put Krylya ahead in the 55th minute, but Anzhi hit back through Eto'o (56), Shamil Lakhiyalov (64) and then Eto'o again with a 68th-minute penalty after Ivan Taranov had been dismissed. Terek Grozny beat Krasnodar 2-0 with second-half goals from Aleksandr Pavlenko and Musa Mguni. Meanwhile, Rostov overcame the 74th-minute dismissal of Kornel Salata to down Tomsk 2-1 thanks to a 90th-minute winner from Razvan Cocis. Earlier, Hector Bracamonte had given Rostov a 20th-minute lead before Victor Stroev levelled in the 68th minute.
