Cesena today appointed Daniele Arrigoni as their new coach having sacked Marco Giampaolo on Sunday following the 2-0 defeat at Parma. Cesena are rock bottom in Serie A with no wins and just three points from nine matches having scored a paltry three goals. The 52-year-old Arrigoni had been out of work for just over a year since being sacked by second division Sassuolo. A former defender, who once played for Cesena, he has previously coached Cagliari, Livorno and Bologna in Serie A. Arrigoni is the fifth coaching replacement already this season. Gian Piero Gasperini lasted just five official matches at the head of Inter Milan before being replaced by Claudio Ranieri. Pierpaolo Bisoli was given only five league games at Bologna, losing four and drawing one. He was replaced by Stefano Pioli, who was sacked as Palermo boss before the league season even began as his side had already been knocked out of the UEFA Europa League, to be replaced by Devis Mangia. Cagliari also dismissed former Italy coach Roberto Donadoni before the season began, hiring Massimo Ficcadenti instead.
