Benfica moved level on points with FC Porto at the top of the Portuguese Liga with a 1-0 win at Maritimo. The visitors played against ten men for almost all of the second half following Serra Olberdam's 47th-minute sending-off, but they left it late to claim victory, Oscar Cardozo making the breakthrough five minutes from time. Elsewhere, Rio Ave claimed a 2-0 home win over Gil Vicente thanks to goals from Wires and Yazalde early in each half. Leo's 38th-minute effort earned Uniao Leiria a 1-0 success at home to Guimaraes, while ten-man Feirense held on for a 1-1 draw at Vitoria Setubal. Bedi Buval put the visitors in front after just three minutes, but Neca levelled with a penalty in the 41st minute and Feirense suffered another setback when they had Ivan sent off a minute before the break.
