Cameroon international goalkeeper Carlos Kameni has joined Malaga from Espanyol on a two-and-a-half-year contract, the buying club announced on their website on Wednesday. "The former RCD Espanyol goalkeeper, born 27 years ago in Douala (Cameroon), will arrive in Malaga this afternoon (Wednesday) and will join Malaga Club de Futbol for the rest of this season and then for the coming two years, with the possibility of extending the contract at the end of that period," read a statement on the site. Kameni leaves Espanyol after seven years at the Barcelona-based side. He won the Copa del Rey with Espanyol in 2006 and was a member of the team that reached the UEFA Cup final the following season. However, this season he had slipped down the pecking order to third-choice goalkeeper behind Cristian Alvarez and Kiko Casilla. Kameni will be presented to Malaga's fans at the club's La Rosaleda stadium on Thursday.
