Bundesliga record champion Bayern Munich flabbergasted desolate Hamburg thanks to three goals within the first half whilst Bremen celebrated a 5-3 goal festival against Freiburg and defending champion Dortmund defeated Nuremberg to seal the second victory on Saturday. Bayern almost repeated the 6-0 nightmare from last season against harmless Hamburg. The German giant needed only 13 minutes to find the goal against reserved Hamburg as defender Daniel van Buyten headed home an Arjen Robben free kick from close range to open the scoring. Only four minutes later Frenchman and Bayern midfielder Franck Ribery doubled the lead when a scored with a well placed low shot into bottom right as Hamburg defence watched helplessly. With 34 minutes into the match dominant Bayern extended the lead to 3-0 as Dutchman midfielder Arjen Robben overcame three defenders to lob over Hamburg goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny. Hamburg remained unable throughout the match to produce even one goal-scoring scene, consequently Bayern kept it bowling to score another two goals through striker Mario Gomez and Ivica Olic to seal the heavy 5-0 defeat for Hamburg that suffered the second defeat at the third match. Bremen worked out a deserved 5-3 victory at a goal festival against Freiburg. Other than expected Freiburg opened the scoring in a seesaw match with only seven minutes into the match as Freiburg's top striker Papiss Demba Cisse shocked Bremen with the opener when he shoved a cross over the goal line. Bremen recovered from the shock at the 30th minute thanks to midfielder Clemens Fritz who levelled the score when he beat Freiburg goalie Oliver Baumann with a diving header from close range. Four minutes later Bremen top striker Claudio Pizzaro brought his team the lead with the 2-1 lead when he utilized a through ball to curl the lead with a well placed shot into bottom right. Three minutes after the break Freiburg striker Cisse sealed his double into open goal to equalize the score. Bremen needed some time to recover from the early equalizer into second half but youngster striker Mario Arnautovic headed the 3-2 lead for his side with 64 minutes into the match. Freiburg showed will and levelled the score again at the 83rd minute through striker Stefan Reisinger but for all that Bremen had another two goals in the hole as striker Aaron Hunt converted a penalty and midfielder Wesley sealed the 5-3 win in the dying minutes of the match. Defending champion Borussia Dortmund posted a 2-0 win over Nuremberg to seal the second victory of the season thanks to the goals by striker Robert Lewandowski at the 50th minute and midfielder Kevin Grobkreutz at the 80th minute. Bundesliga runner up Leverkusen sealed also the second victory of the campaign as striker Stefan Kiebling utilized a follow up shot at the 28th minute against Stuttgart that sustained the first loss. First division newbie Augsburg suffered the first loss of the season as Hoffenheim striker, and Dutch international Ryan Babbel opened the scoring with only eight minutes into the match with a low shot into bottom left. After the break Augsburg had the chance to equalize the score but striker Sascha Moelders failed to convert from the spot as Hoffenheim goalkeeper Tom Starke denied the score at the 57th minute. Augsburg took over control as Hoffenheim retracted but at the 75th minute Hoffenheim midfielder Sejad Salihovic converted an awarded penalty to seal the deal and the second victory. Cologne and Kaiserslautern share points after a 1-1 draw both sides still wait for their first victory of the season. Mainz host Schalke and Hannover encounter Berlin on Sunday.
