Oleg Blokhin will remain as Ukraine's coach after UEFA EURO 2012 and take charge of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ qualifiers, the Ukraine Football Federation have announced. The 59-year-old, who was a star striker with the former USSR, was in charge of Ukraine at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ when they reached the quarter-finals. His current contract was due to run out after the EURO 2012 which Ukraine jointly hosts with Poland. However, this new deal means he will have another three years at the helm, going on to Brazil in the summer of 2014 if Ukraine make it through the qualifiers.
