Basel maintained their six-point lead at the top of the Swiss Super League with a 1-0 home win over FC Zurich. Basel, who beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie in midweek, had Alexander Frei to thank for scoring the winner in the 56th minute. Dario Lezcano scored twice as Lucerne beat Young Boys 2-0 to go clear in second place. Lezcano opened the scoring in the fourth minute and doubled the lead eight minutes before the break. The win moved Lucerne three points clear of their opponents into third.
